We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager with very strong technical knowledge of steel making and continuous casting processes and machinery as well as sales and customer relationship management. This position is open for candidate from any country in the world with suitable backgrounds.

Area of Responsibilities

  • Conclude sales negotiations and manage customer relationships; 
  • Execute the sales plan in designated markets to achieve the annual business target; 
  • Liaise with other Managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements; 
  • Deliver high quality, cost effective and timely solutions in line with customers’ requirements; 
  • Organize the working activities to meet specifications and deadlines. 

 

Main Tasks 

  • Analyze customers’ technical assignments in coordination with technical office and other departments in order to define the most competitive solutions for each project; 
  • Collect all the information, including inquiring external suppliers, needed to define the cost of the offer; 
  • Prepare, present and negotiate technical and commercial offers; 
  • Define and promote new products or services and calculate their commercial impact analyzing market trends; 
  • Prepare costing structure and pricing calculation to be analyzed with Head Quarter; 
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and understanding their requirements; 
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events; 
  • Comply with all the company policies and procedures according to the assigned role. 


Required Knowledge and Qualifications 

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of steelmaking process and technologies, including primary steel production and secondary metallurgy;
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and process parameters;
  • Technical school diploma or master’s degree in Engineering;
  • Communication ability for both written and spoken English.


Soft Skills:

  • Communication and interaction skills; 
  • Problem Solving and results-driven approach; 
  • Teamworking and organizational skills. 


Others: 

  •  At least 3 or 4 years’ experience in technical / sales department / operations area within steel related manufacturing companies (steel making or plant making companies); 
  •  Market trends and fundamentals; 
  •  Willingness to be flexible in order to travel and meet Customers according to the business needs.
